AAC Block About
An AAC block (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete block) is a lightweight, precast building material made from a mix of fly ash or sand, cement, lime, gypsum, and water, with a small amount of aluminum powder added as an expanding agent.
The aluminum powder reacts chemically to create millions of tiny air bubbles inside the concrete, making up to 80% of the block's volume. The blocks are then cured under heat and pressure in a large steam chamber called an autoclave.
